The Modular and Portable Building Association (MPBA) is the UK’s leading trade association for the modular and portable building sector. Representing companies across the industry, the association provides a platform for manufacturers, suppliers and specialist businesses, while promoting the benefits and wider use of modular and portable buildings across the UK.
PROJECT SCOPE
MPBA approached LTCA to help bring greater consistency and clarity to its existing visual identity and marketing materials. Rather than starting again, the project focused on evolving the established MPBA brand and creating a more structured approach to how it is presented.
We reviewed the existing brand application and developed a comprehensive set of brand guidelines covering the key elements of the identity. This included the use of logos, colours, typography, layouts and supporting design elements, providing a clear reference point for future communications.
Alongside the guidelines, we created a range of practical marketing and communication materials for the association. These were designed around the way MPBA operates, ensuring the brand could be used consistently across member communications, industry documents, presentations and promotional activity.
We also developed templates that make it easier for the MPBA team to produce their own branded documents while maintaining a consistent look and feel. Exhibition and event graphics were also created to give the association a strong and recognisable presence at industry events.
The overall approach was to make the existing MPBA brand work harder, giving the association a clearer visual identity while creating useful tools that could be used long after the initial project was completed.
The Results
The project has provided MPBA with a more structured and consistent approach to its visual communications, helping bring its existing brand identity together across a wide range of materials. The new brand guidelines give the association a clear reference for using its identity, while the bespoke templates provide a practical way for the team to create professional documents and communications without losing consistency.
Combined with the new marketing and exhibition materials, the work has created a stronger visual framework for MPBA’s ongoing communications and events. It also provides a flexible foundation that can continue to be developed as the association and the modular and portable building industry evolve.
