When Skylight Children’s Care Homes approached LTCA, they had a clear brief: create a completely new brand identity and website, with just six weeks to make it happen.
Our first reaction was: “Six weeks?!” Our second was: “Let’s go.”
A tight deadline is always a challenge, but with the right planning, communication and collaboration, it is possible to deliver a complete branding and website project at pace without compromising on quality.
Creating a brand with purpose
Skylight provides residential care and support for young people, with a focus on creating safe, supportive environments where children and young people can feel valued and empowered to thrive.
The new brand needed to reflect the organisation’s caring and ambitious approach while creating a professional identity that would connect with young people, families, professionals and other stakeholders.
LTCA developed the Skylight brand identity, creating a visual style that could work consistently across the website, digital communications and wider marketing materials.
From brand identity to website
With the brand established, we moved straight into the website design and development.
The website needed to clearly communicate Skylight’s approach, services, values and people, while making it easy for visitors to find information about its children’s homes and support.
We developed the website around a clear structure and user journey, combining the new visual identity with accessible content and engaging imagery.
Six weeks from start to finish
The six-week deadline meant that everyone needed to play their part. Content is often one of the biggest factors that can delay a website project, but the Skylight team worked closely with us to provide the information and feedback we needed.
That collaboration allowed the project to keep moving and meant we could take the website from the initial brand development through to the finished website within the agreed timeframe.
The project included:
- Brand strategy and identity
- Logo and visual identity
- Website planning
- Website design and development
- Website copy and content
- Responsive design
- Testing and quality checks
- Building a platform for the future
The finished website provides Skylight with a professional digital presence that reflects its values and gives the organisation a platform to communicate with families, professionals, potential employees and other audiences.
For LTCA, this project is a great example of what can be achieved when branding and website development are planned together, with a clear creative direction and strong collaboration between client and agency.
And as the saying goes, if it’s nice, do it twice.
We’re already working with Skylight on project number two, continuing the relationship and building on the work we’ve already delivered.
If you’re looking for a new brand identity, website design or complete branding and digital project, LTCA can help take your project from initial concept through to launch, even when the deadline is tight.
